Delicious Tags

I think this "delicious" site will be one of my favs. I like the fact that I can put all my websites on one so that I can never again loose them. (I find I do that a lot...loose websites! >.<;) Feast your eyes on these!

It would also be helpful for the library for the same reasons. We could have a list of all the sites we would need to help customers in "delicious" that all in the branch could access thus making it easier...say when the "smart one" (ya know... the person who has all the resources...) has the day off! Of course most everyone is smart but it would be a way to bounce around resources!

Tweet Tweet

A little birdy came and sat down on my shoulder to tell me that...I have much to learn about Twitter! ;3

:update oct.17:
Well given that I don't have all that much time to play around with Twitter...nore do I know what to tweet about, or to whom... it seems to me to be very much like text messaging. One could make a quick comment ... or within the library a question ... and it could be answered almost immediately (depending on the lagtime).

Bloglines update

Well it would appear as if my bloglines account doesnt' with for me to share.

I don't seem to have the share option in the right side screen, though I do in the lowest left side screen and yet when I choose this option, fill out the information and click on generate html it does give me some code (it just don't work as my last post about the RSS's shows). *sigh*

I can read the subscribed posts!

My Cataloged Life

Most of my life is spent with my nose in a book of some sort or another, and yes I admit many a time I have attempted to make spreadsheets to attempt to organize my collection (decent in size but not overly extensive). :3

This new (at least to me) thing, LibraryThing, is a bit fun! They even have some books that are book club exclusives so that's kinda cool for me. People can even add comments on the books and authors, not to leave out that seemingly complete information about the books. (I could go as far as adding my exact copy of book...a bit extreme...but if I was bored I so would do it!)

Welcome to my Library! :D

New Technology

Ah technology! My favorite is the PC (personal computer), for without this wondrous of technological advances I wouldn’t have a degree and we all’d still be using card catalogs. The PC allows me to be creative in ways that would otherwise be very difficult if not all together impossible.

Get fed!

I got a blogline account. Yay...I guess! I seem to be getting a lot of information in there that I don't have time to read though I guess it's a bit easier that searching all kinds of sites trying to find this information, or similar info.

My news -- (;3)> http://rpc.bloglines.com/blogroll?html=1&id=Azure&folder=Books

Though I have come accross a problem linking my bloglines to this blog. What I ended up with is a news feed on the bottom right corner but it's not allowing any subscriptions. Sorry folks! (>.<;)

But go to my bloglines account and get fed!

Image hosting & other cool online things

This week thanks to "Learn and Play @ CML" I have been exposed to the wonderful world of online imaging; Flickr being just one of many. Something I found unique about Flickr is mapping and something called "notes and comments".

The mapping allows Flickr users to tag where the image was taken and then to allow a search of other places where an image might have been snapped. This I liked because it will allow me to view personal images of, say, Hawaii. Tour books just don't have enough images if you ask me!

Then the "notes and comments" intrigued me due to the ability to "draw" on the posted image. So say I see an image of some farm and in that image is something that catches my eye I can highlight it and comment directly onto the image for the original poster to see.

Moving on from imaging is a helpful feature called Google maps! It allows for the finding of pretty much anything!
